Ok, if you’re like most people you’ve never considered building your own chicken coop house. In fact, the thought has never even crossed your mind. Why on earth would you want a chicken coop in your backyard? Well let’s walk through this tantalizing question logically, step by step.
Step one. The main thing chickens do is lay eggs. Eggs have often been called a miracle food. Their protein-calorie ratio is a thing of legend. You get a ton of protein for the amount of fat in the egg as well. We could all use more eggs in our diet. And think about it, how often do you use eggs? Cake’s require eggs to cook. Scrambled eggs? You betcha. How about that German pancake in your oven? Yep, that requires eggs to cook right as well.
Step two. Ok, now that you agree with me that eggs are healthy and you should have them in your diet, let’s take it a bit farther. How do you acquire eggs? Well, there are two ways you can get eggs. One is to go to your local grocery store and buy them. There’s nothing wrong with this method. In fact, it’s the method that most people use. The other way you can obtain eggs is through the use of your very own chicken coop. The chickens lay eggs on a regular basis.
In fact, you’ll often find yourself having more than enough eggs depending on your chicken-person ratio. What are the advantages of this method? There are two. One is price. We all know the economy is harsh nowadays. Why not save a few bucks by getting free eggs? The chickens will repay the little cost that you spent on them initially very quickly. The other is convenience. You’ll never have to make that 20 minute drive to the grocery store again. Just walk into your backyard and there are the eggs!
Step three. This step is rather small, but it’s important. Are you one of the people that has recently caught onto the organic, green vibe that everyone else is feeling? How much more organic can you get than eggs made right in your own backyard? You treat your chickens the way you want to. Not some factory. You can also go green by recycling your table scraps into the chicken coop house. No more wasting those green vegetables that your children refused to eat.
Where have these three steps led us? Well for one, they should have convinced you that chicken coops are an amazing thing. Not many people have them because it’s not a common thing to think of! But.
