We have started a fundraiser on GiveForward.com to help with Bears medical bills and pain medications he’s taking to keep him comfortable for now. You can visit it at http://www.giveforward.com/helpforbear. We write updates on there anytime we get new information and take him to the vet. Bear has his appointment with the oncologist Tuesday (June 14th) we will be updating our GiveForward page after the visit. We also have a twitter account http://www.twitter.com/HelpforBear and a Facebook group http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_229228317091987&ap=1 where we post updates and pictures. Bear is 7 years old and is a mixed breed. We have had him since he was born, we actually had to help deliver bear, he got stuck when his mom was giving birth and we had to help pull him out. He was, and is a fighter and has always been a very special dog. There was just something about Bear, and when we had to get rid of the puppies, we just couldn’t give up Bear. We have his mom yet, and her sister. They still treat him like a puppy grooming and cleaning him everyday, he really loves his mom and aunt. Bear loves to play with his many toys and enjoys eating his favorite treat, pup corn. Even with being as sick as he is, he still tries to play with his toys occasionally. Bear is a very loveable dog, everyone who meets him just loves him, and he always has kisses for anyone who asks. Bear is my little shadow, I wouldn’t know what to do without him. He follows me where ever I go in the house, and has to sleep right along side of me on the bed at night. He loves to wake me up by climbing on top of me and licking my face until I wake up. When I’m sitting at my computer and he wants attention, he will hit the back of my chair until I turn around and pet him.Archive for category Pet Stories

He was doing his best, but had a lot of fun the process. Here’s a shot from one of the final line-ups.

A good day of playing hard makes for a tired puppy. His feet are either moving around like he is chasing something or bunched up in a pile. Check out this pile of puppy feet!

Lilly is a very active bun. She loves food and REALLY loves tasty treats.
Thursday evening while Deanna was having a fruity snack Lilly jumped on her lap and made in known that she wanted a taste. After a couple minutes of bobbing and weaving Deanna couldn’t take it anymore. Lilly won the prize and got the rest of the plum.
But she had to work for it….
Check back soon for the complete plum crazy photo shoot!

Remote Shock Collars are one of the most effective, simplest and most humane training aids available. Remote Shock Collars are placed on a dog’s neck, allowing a trainer to deliver small static corrections of varying strength by remote control. The correction the dog gets from the remote dog training collar is no different than static from walking on carpet. The benefits of working with a remote dog training collar is the trainer can immediately correct a dog’s mistakes at a distance far greater than leash training allows. A Shock Collar is a safe, effective and humane way to train your dog.

I think it is funny when I see a wanna be alpha dog kick up grass. Of course it is less funny when it happens to my beautiful lawn . . . but still funny enough!
Our neighbors male puppy is new in town but fully grown. When he gets on our side of the yard he likes to make sure he shows off a bit and pretend he is the alpha dog. What amazed me is how far he could launch grass. We were standing a good 20 or more feet behind him and the grass nearly hit us. It was like a chunk of grass Tiger Woods might launch on a practice drive!
How far does your dog launch grass? I wonder what the record is….

No this isn’t a new type of remote designed for the visually impaired. This is my buns way of making modifications to the remote for our t.v. This is the same BAD bun that was being carried by my neighbor up to my front door last night at around 9:00. Apparently she had decided to go exploring out the back door and by the Grace of God, was found by my neighbor. Thank you Will! I have no idea how long she was outside last night. I just can’t get over the fact that she was brave enough to leave the wonderful, safe, and comfortable home I have provided her. I also can’t get over that she was found. What are the chances that Will would even be out there and actually see her in the dark? What a bad bun! So now I just have to wait and see if her belly starts to grow. She is not “fixed”, so the chances that she got knocked-up last night are pretty great. Especially since my husband saw a wild bunny running into the woods in our back yard right after she came home. Seeing wild buns around our house is an everyday occurrence. Only time will tell. Anyone need some new buns?
